Each level has been carefully designed to create a harmonious blend of light, materials, and detail. Narrow in form but grand in character—a contemporary interpretation of elegant urban living.

From minimalist to warm and soft
This sleek townhouse on the canal in Amsterdam clearly bears the mark of an architect: sleek, minimalist, and bold in form, with significant variations in ceiling height that give the house its character. The design is modern, featuring yellow accents and robust, hard materials. The clad staircase is a real eye-catcher—powerful and sculptural—but it still lacks the warmth and tactile quality of real wood.
We see this as an opportunity to soften the home’s character and infuse it with more soul. The first floor serves as the starting point for this transformation: a new foundation where atmosphere, materials, and experience come together to set the tone for the rest of the home.

This will be a home where life can unfold—where there’s room for spontaneity and even a little chaos, but where everything can effortlessly return to balance. Functionality and aesthetics go hand in hand, with materials that are not only beautiful but also pleasant to use.
The various floors will soon be connected by a calm, consistent design language in the wall and floor finishes. At the heart of this is a kitchen-diner: a warm, inviting space for cooking, eating, and enjoying time together—just as suitable for a weeknight as it is for long, cozy evenings with friends.
